Gin no Saji 1

yessssss you have no idea how long I've been waiting for this!
Hachiken Yugo is a high school freshman who decided to attend an agricultural high school way out in the middle of nowhere for the reason that it had dorms and he didn't want to be home. Every other student is from some sort of farming family an is studying to take over their respective businesses, so it's safe to say Hachiken sticks out like a sore thumb. We follow him on his first days, where he faces the challenges of a completely new environment where he wakes up at some ungodly hour to do manual labor, hangs around cows and chickens and horses and finding out where chickens really come from
hint: from the butt
Ok so I've been reading the manga for a while and as you may or may not know, this manga is by Arakawa Hiromu, who is also the author of Fullmetal Alchemist. Though this is nothing like FMA with the exception of the characteristic art and humor, and I don't know but to me it's kind of refreshing. It's simple and fun and that totally works.

Apparently, Arakawa was raised in a farm and worked there for quite a few years before moving to Tokyo, so that's where this story comes from, and it shows, as she's very savvy on the particulars of farming.
